I am an Evangelical Christian. 40 years ago, I came to know
Christ through a Bible study led by fellow cadets at the United
States Military Academy.

I keep an open Bible on my desk and read from it every day.

From its incomparable wisdom, I sought and attained the tools of
leadership I needed to succeed and acquired the belief in a
better world to come.

I learned that Christ gives each of us important work to do and
that wisdom comes from humility and is enshrined by forgiveness.

Unfortunately, humility and forgiveness are virtues that far too
many of our leaders in Washington disregard. Instead, they exude
unfounded arrogance and display hatefulness to their fellow
Americans.

Our nation CAN NOT continue to be dominated by petty, amoral, and
transactional politics.

If we are to restore morality and integrity to our nation’s
capital, we MUST have more faith-driven leaders who will let God
- not self-interest - be their guide.
