Hi Friend,
As we enter the long Memorial Day weekend, the team here at No Labels is joining the rest of the country in pausing to honor the men and women who have served our nation with unyielding courage and valor and given their lives answering the call of duty.
We’re also taking this time to reaffirm our commitment to the principles of unity and cooperation in service to the democracy that our troops have fought to defend – from Yorktown, to Gettysburg, to the beaches of Normandy, and into today.
In the spirit of this Memorial Day, we invite you to pause and think about how we can extend this gratitude and commitment to the service of our troops beyond a single day. How can we honor the sacrifice of our troops to create an atmosphere of problem-solving and mutual respect in our politics that matches the selflessness of our military?
At No Labels, our purpose is to promote dialogue and collaboration across the political divide, to inspire thoughtful and commonsense governance in Washington, and to defeat the forces of partisanship we believe pose the single biggest threat to the future of our country.
Our mission is as much about honoring the sacrifices of the past as it is about embracing a shared vision for the future.
As you enjoy what is hopefully a restful Memorial Day, let’s remember and honor the fallen, and let's pledge to work together for a brighter, more unified future worthy of their sacrifices.
With sincere gratitude,
Margaret White
