We'll get straight to the point: HB 890 by Rep. Keith Bell and Sen. Brandon Creighton is in trouble and needs your help.

HB 890 would require school districts to, among other things, inform parents of their right to exempt their child from instruction regarding harmful and radical sexual orientation and gender ideology. It would also prevent school districts from providing any type of instruction or activity regarding sexual orientation or gender identity to students pre-k through 12th grade. 

HB 890 has been passed by both the House and Senate, and all that's left is for the House to agree with the good changes made by the Texas Senate (In legislative lingo it's called "concurring").

The bill was eligible to come up in the House for "concurrence" this afternoon but so far has not come up and the House has recessed until 5:10PM!

We need you to contact your legislators and urge them to support the Senate changes and ask Rep. Keith Bell to "concur" with the Senate changes!
