John - June 1st is almost here. Yet, the House GOP at the behest of Kevin McCarthy has left for the Memorial Day weekend to go to cookouts in their districts. There has been no progress on getting a reasonable solution from Kevin McCarthy's House. And with the Republicans gone for the weekend, expected to return Tuesday, they will only have two days to reach an agreement. 

These Representatives have no issue abandoning their duties for a long summer weekend, regardless of who it impacts - including veterans. Those same veterans that they will hide behind and post about their "appreciation for" over the holiday weekend. 

Think about it: the same party that hides behind the American people and "family values" is using their vacation time to allow benefits and the livelihoods of Americans hanging in the balance. Meanwhile, they have the audacity to claim to be the true Representatives of the lower and middle-class while they take a little break for themselves. 

The Democratic party wants to pay our bills, honor our responsibilities, and keep families in their jobs and homes. Republicans have an alternative agenda and live in an alternate reality. 

John, without members in the House that are willing to have discussions in good faith for the American people, we risk seeing GOP disasters. Chip in today and help us elect more Democrats in 2024 by reaching rural and working-class Americans across the heartland.
