Team,
If you watched the State of the Union, you may have noticed that the words “climate change” were never even mentioned. The threat of climate change is real but many Washington Republicans are in denial.
We, on the other hand, are advancing legislation in the House to address the climate crisis with commonsense solutions to lower emissions and protect our air and water.
New Jersey can't afford inaction. We are the fastest warming state in the country, and climate change threatens our natural resources and our economy. As Chairwoman of the Environment Subcommittee on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, I have committed to taking bold action that will create new jobs, invest in climate resilient infrastructure, and make New Jersey a leader in the clean energy movement.
Join me in calling for bold action to address climate change and protect our right to clean air and clean water. We need 1,500 more signatures before Monday to meet our goal and deliver these signatures to the White House.
If we act boldly and quickly, we can still save our environment for our children and grandchildren.
Mikie
