Legislative Update
Congratulations to the Little Falls middle school Track and Field teams. Both the boys and girls teams won the championship for their conference on Monday at the meet in Albany. The dedication and teamwork needed to compete at this level is admirable. I wish you all the best in finishing out the season and success as you move up to the senior high teams in the coming years.
In the final hours of this legislative session funding for three major projects for our district were passed including the Aitkin County, Health and Human Services Building, Minnesota Military Museum at Camp Ripley, Lake Shamineau High Water Protection Project and the Morrison County Weyerhaeuser Museum bank erosion project. Across the district, these projects will greatly improve the economic vitality of the area and preserve valuable assets for generations to come.
In a year of uncertainty with a competitive environment for securing projects across the state. I am proud to be able to bring these projects back to the people of District 10A so that we can get these projects started and I look forward to seeing the projects completed and improving the quality of life for the people of Minnesota.
Monday is Memorial Day and I hope you will all be enjoying a long weekend with your families. It is important to remember that Memorial Day stands in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice defending our great nation. Take a moment this day to remember them and how lucky we are to live in the United States of America.
