John, Republicans have repeatedly threatened the future of vital programs like Social Security. Here's everything you need to know:

FIRST, fringe Republicans in Congress, including Senator Rick Scott, introduced a number of plans that would either make drastic cuts to or raise the eligibility age for Social Security. 

THEN, President Biden directly called out the GOP's egregious efforts to cut Social Security and was met with vigorous denials by Republicans – who agreed that Social Security was off-limits. 

NOW, just a handful of weeks after the GOP's outburst, Republicans are refusing to raise the debt limit unless President Biden agrees to their new budget proposal – which would force people across the country on Social Security to wait longer to receive the benefits they've earned.

John, despite what they're trying to get us to believe, Republicans are continuing their crusade against programs like Social Security – they're just getting sneakier about how they do it. But I see through their attempts, and I refuse to let them get away with it.

And mark my words, I will do whatever it takes to protect Social Security – and I need your help to get to the Senate and take an even stronger stand.
