The 2023 Arms Control Association Annual Meeting
June 2, 2023 • National Press Club, Washington, D.C.

We invite our members and colleagues who are unable to attend our June 2, 2023 Annual Meeting in person to view our remarkable lineup of speakers and panelist via a live webcast.

The event will be webcast from the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2. 

Our opening keynote speaker, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, will speak at approximately 9:00 a.m. on the president’s remarks at the G-7 Summit in Hiroshima on reducing the risk of nuclear use and heading off nuclear weapons competition.

Ambassador Alexander Kmentt will deliver the lunch keynote address at 12:00 p.m. Amb. Kmentt is the director of disarmament, arms control, and nonproliferation at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and one of the key architects of the 2017 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

The webcast will include coverage of our expert panels which will examine today's most critical security challenges, including:

• Resolving the Iranian nuclear crisis.
• Reinforcing the taboo against threats of nuclear use.
• Preventing an arms race between the United States, Russia, and China.
• Regulating the risks of artificial intelligence involvement in nuclear command and control.
