Hey John- I wanted to introduce you to some very important friends in my life.

These are my dogs, Otis and Nala, and they are my top-dog supporters. (Also my husband, but he’s less important here 😉)

Otis and Nala are the best dog siblings to my baby girl Aaliyah – they will do anything to protect her and ensure she is safe.

And they know the best way to protect Aaliyah and the next generation is to fight for change and progress on a local level– just like I know you do, John. That’s why they – and I – need to ask for your help.

My dogs have kept my spirits up these past few weeks and helped me remember to find joy even as we confront the pressing challenges facing North Carolina.

That joy reminds me that we can build a better future for Aaliyah and all of us. However, achieving this relies on us supporting electing local progressive leaders who will fight tooth and nail for their community.

In order to win my race, I am counting on that support to be able to fully fund voter outreach across Durham to spread my message and build a true grassroots movement.

Otis and Nala are counting on you to chip in so they can go knock some doors for their dog mom to win re-election and fight for progress. (They also may have heard I will outlaw the breaking of treats in half. 👀)
