John — the extreme abortion ban in Texas has put women’s lives on the line…
And women are fighting back.
13 women (joined by two doctors) are SUING Texas after they experienced critical medical emergencies and needed abortion care to treat them, but medical providers refused to care for them because they feared liability under Texas’s abortion ban.
(It’s no wonder doctors are scared to treat patients even when their lives are in danger: The radical Texas Attorney General tried to OVERTURN a federal policy that requires lifesaving abortion care be provided.)
John, these women have shown incredible courage in telling their stories. We want to say we’re with them and we have their backs.
