Wolfs Crossing and Harvey Road intersection to close May 31

Traffic alert general 20220223

Work continues on the first segment of the Village of Oswego’s Wolfs Crossing improvement project [ [link removed] ] to create a modern, four-lane road to help ease traffic congestion, improve safety and accommodate growth.

The intersection of Harvey Road and Wolfs Crossing will be closed effective May 31 through late November. The current four-way stop-controlled intersection will be replaced by a modern roundabout. Detours will be placed along the route. View the detour plan here.  [ [link removed] ]

The project has been underway since early April on Wolfs Crossing from Harvey Road to east of Devoe Drive. Due to an unanticipated gas main conflict, Wolfs Crossing east of Devoe Drive will remain closed until the utility work and road construction is completed for this section.

Wolfs Crossing construction updates and detour information [ [link removed] ] can be found on the Village’s website.

Mosquito management via bicycles

mosquito management on bicycles

Starting today, you may see crew members from Clarke on bicycles placing mosquito control products in catch basins along Oswego roads and in backyards.

This is also a great time to make sure you don’t have any standing water in your yard that could become a breeding ground for mosquitos. As temperatures rise and rainwater accumulates, mosquitos are on the hunt for cozy places to lay eggs.
