This Memorial Day we honor the men and women of our armed forces who gave everything to ensure our freedom. Our family joins families across the country offering our deepest respect and gratitude to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
As a combat veteran, I proudly join my brothers and sisters in uniform honoring the traditions and sacrifices of those who came before us. Part of this duty includes Nikki's plan as president to not only remember, but also not to forget. Remembrance and taking care of service members is a tradition that continues, but we can always do more.
Nikki’s plan for veterans and their family members includes:
Increasing access to healthcare by allowing veterans to visit private doctors and utilize telehealth to minimize burdens placed on the VA.
Tackling mental health by expanding screenings.
Making veterans benefits, such as tax credits, available to veterans’ spouses and providing them options for using the GI Bill funds beyond education.
Continuing to invest in our military so that it is always the strongest and most prepared in the world.
