In a party-line vote, Cochise County, Arizona  – a county with 77,000 registered voters – hired an election denier as its Elections Director. 

This is the kind of development the voter protection staff we fund stay on top of, year-round. In most counties – even Republican-controlled ones – it’s possible to work with elections officials to help elections run smoothly. 

But sometimes, we also need staff on the ground to fight efforts to suppress and disenfranchise voters.
