John, the Article V plot to radically reshape our Constitution – gutting our most basic rights in the process – is still gaining traction.

As I write you, New York, Kansas, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania are just a few of the states considering active Article V bills.

You and I both know how dangerous this is. That’s why I’m pulling out all the stops to defeat each and every bill for an Article V Convention.

But John, we’re up against a lot. Wealthy special interests are spending millions to pass Article V bills across the country.

They have a lot to gain from passing a Convention. If Article V is called, these same special interests will be able to use their money to influence legislators to rewrite the Constitution to their own benefit – at your expense and mine.

Gutting environmental regulations. Enacting more barriers to vote. Rolling back our right to privacy. All of this and more is on the table if they succeed.

The good news: I know what it takes to stop Article V. I’m shining a spotlight on this secretive plot to reshape our Constitution, and bringing it out of the shadows and into the public eye. It is, after all, only Common Cause that can deliver the powerful, state-by-state response needed to shut down Article V calls across the country.

But John, you’ve been with me since the start of the legislative session, and you’ve seen firsthand how close we are to constitutional chaos, how many states our opposition has targeted for 2023, and how they’ll stop at nothing to rush their agenda through state legislatures.
