Hi, friend, I wanted to tell you why I'm running for Senate, but I know you're busy, so I'll keep this short.

1. As a father, I'm running to build a better world for my kids and yours, to create more opportunities for them and their peers to succeed and to ensure our country lives up to its promises for the next generation.

2. As a Texan, I've watched Ted Cruz fail our state for more than a decade, doing what's best for Ted Cruz and not for Texas families. I'm running to be a voice for Texans in the Senate, and I promise to always put you first.

3. As a civil rights attorney, I'm running to defend our fundamental rights. Ted Cruz and his allies are waging an all-out war on our right to vote, which is the basis for all other rights. Expanding our Democratic Senate majority is our best hope of stopping them.
