The World Health Organization’s (WHO) annual World Health Assembly (WHA) is underway in Geneva, Switzerland, with delegates from around the world attending the 10-day event. The item on the WHA agenda garnering the most attention is the recent amendments to International Health Regulations (IHR) that would hand over dictatorial-level power to the WHO.

Despite WHO’s catastrophic COVID-19 response, the current administration of the U.S. federal government has indicated a strong willingness to sign on to these amendments. This is no time to back down.

• Tell your state legislators to voice their opposition to and protect your state from potential new proposed International Health Regulations that would put all public health power into the hands of the WHO Director-General.
• Tell Congress to support HR 79, The WHO Withdrawal Act, in order to preserve national sovereignty.
• Tell President Biden to STOP the negotiations for the newly proposed amendments to the IHR and roll back the IHR amendments that were hastily changed in 2022.
