John:
I’ve lived in Florida longer than Ron DeSantis has been Governor. There are two things I can tell you about our state: despite his best efforts, LGBTQ+ people still live here. And we deserve better leadership than what he’s given us.
LGBTQ+ kids and teachers deserve so much better than ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bills. LGBTQ+ people deserve a governor that won’t let his staff call us groomers and pedophiles – and won’t peddle in transphobic and homophobic myths himself. We deserve someone who won’t use our community to score cheap political points.
And finding that leader starts now. LGBTQ+ Victory Institute – where I’m proud to work – is about to hold a Candidate & Campaign Training in Orlando, right in DeSantis’ backyard. If you’re an LGBTQ+ leader sick of the bigotry and interested in learning more about how to run office, sign up today. Or, forward this email to someone you think should run. [[link removed]]
LGBTQ+ people are tired of being a political punching bag. As you just read, we're headed to states with bigoted governors and training advocates to run for office. Make a donation to expand our trainings and build a lasting pipeline of LGBTQ+ leaders in states like Florida! [[link removed]]

Look, I like living in Florida. Despite DeSantis, my husband and I have built a community. We’ve made our home here, and we’re not going to give it up easily. I know Florida is better than DeSantis – and I want to see LGBTQ+ Floridians thrive.
So, help us find and recruit LGBTQ+ people to run for office. If we’re going to undo DeSantis’ damage, it starts with people stepping up to run. Learn more about our trainings here! [[link removed]]
Not ready to run? Help us expand our trainings! We want to train more LGBTQ+ people in Florida, in Texas, in Tennessee, in Oklahoma. LGBTQ+ people can win in these states and take back our government from bigots like DeSantis – if we have the skills to win. Pitch in today! [[link removed]]
