LULAC URGES THE FULL TEXAS HOUSE AND SENATE TO IMPEACH STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL KEN
PAXTON
=================================================================================

Nation's Oldest and Largest Latino Civil Rights Organization Says Evidence of
Public Corruption and Other Criminal Activity is Indisputable

Washington, DC - The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) urges the
Texas House and Senate to take immediate, united action in impeaching Texas
Attorney General Ken Paxton. LULAC National President Domingo Garcia asserts that
it is time for the legislature to come together with the Texas House of
Representatives General Investigating Committee [ [link removed] ]
and remove Mr. Paxton from office on public corruption charges, including bribery
and gross illegal misconduct.

"Mr. Paxton's actions have demonstrated a blatant disregard for the very laws he
swore to uphold, making him unfit to serve as Texas' highest law enforcement
officer. LULAC firmly believes that when elected officials scoff at the
principles they are obligated to defend, they must be held accountable.
Furthermore, LULAC calls for a reassessment by the state's courts of Mr. Paxton's
actions while in office, which have specifically targeted and harmed Latinos,
African Americans, and other communities that fell victim to his political
agenda.

The evidence [ [link removed] ]
is clear that Mr. Paxton's own staff members have witnessed alleged illegalities
to such an extent that four of them were compelled to become whistleblowers,
refusing to be complicit in his criminal activities. He then had the gall to
expect Texas taxpayers to foot the bill in settling with them for his misdeeds
for $3.3 million! His tenure has been marred by vile personal vendettas against
individuals and entire communities, all while using his position for personal
gain and benefits. This betrayal of public trust and loss of personal integrity
cannot be tolerated.

LULAC takes no pleasure in denouncing an elected official, but decisive action is
necessary when an individual so flagrantly disregards their duty to serve the
people. Ken Paxton must be removed from office without delay. LULAC urgently
implores the entire House and Senate of the Texas legislature to unite with the
investigating committee and proceed with the impeachment of Mr. Paxton. The
sooner this action is taken, the better it will be for the state and its
citizens.

LULAC remains committed to safeguarding the rights and interests of all
communities, particularly those disproportionately affected by Mr. Paxton's
actions. As an organization dedicated to justice and equality, we stand firmly
behind the pursuit of accountability and the restoration of integrity within our
state government."
