I hope you enjoy the long weekend with friends and family, but I urge you to take some time to reflect on the servicemen and servicewomen who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 

At every turn, America has beaten back tyranny. But it has cost hundreds of thousands of American lives to ensure our freedom. 

This Memorial Day, and every day following, it's up to us to honor their sacrifice and work together to heal our nation.
