Team,

Right now, a handful of extremists in Congress, spearheaded by Kevin McCarthy, are threatening immense economic harm to every American family. They aim to weaponize a potential default on our nation's debt as a means to pressure President Biden into surrendering to their extreme demands.

This reckless course of action could cost millions of jobs, thrust countless people into poverty, and place unbearable burdens on families already struggling. Those who truly comprehend the impacts of Congressional actions would not resort to such tactics.

To make matters worse, he’s now letting Members of Congress leave for the weekend without working in a bipartisan manner to prevent an economic catastrophe.

We need a Congress committed to enhancing people's lives, not one that takes our economy hostage to further a radical agenda.

That's why I'm calling on you today. I urge you to join me in demanding Congress to stay in session until we pass the debt ceiling. The stability of our economy, our livelihoods, and the welfare of everyday Americans are at stake. [[link removed]]

Rather than using our economic standing as a political tool, we should be collaborating to bolster our economy, fortify our supply chain, and enhance the value of the U.S. dollar.

We can and will make progress together, but team, we can’t do that if Republicans leave for the weekend.

Please sign the petition today. [[link removed]] Together, we can compel Congress to remain in session until we successfully pass the debt ceiling.

Thank you for your support,
