Social Dances
Dance the night away or listen to some fabulous music at our social dances! Open to seniors 55 and over; membership is not required. Invite your friends to join you for an evening out!

Donuts for Dads

Join us for a party to celebrate all fathers! We invite all dads, grand-dads, and great-grand-dads for a morning of friendly, fatherly fun. Guests are encouraged to attend in their favorite hat or tie. Light breakfast served.
Grandparents Day?
Wednesday, June 28 | 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon of fun with your loved ones! Have a great time playing games, making crafts, having snacks, and getting a group picture from our photobooth! 2023 Summer Classes
2023 Summer recreation, aquatics, and tennis registration is here! Classes are available to view online. Registration is open online and in-person at the Hurst Recreation Center. HoopHeads Basketball Camp
Learn the meticulous details of basketball with a Division 1 (Power 5) basketball alum, who has worked in NBA Player Development and for numerous NBA organizations. Consisting of skills, IQ breakdowns, and competitive games, this camp will be fun, competitive, and informative.
Jr. Engineers
Let?s dive into the engineering design process with fun, hands-on STEM activities! Each week, we will discuss science and math concepts used in engineering. Attendees will use communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking as they work together to create a different product each week.?
Parent & Me Music Class
We will sing. We will dance. And we will make our music. This class has it all for the little ones who love music!
Power Hour
This kid?s fitness class will put the FUN into Fitness! They will learn the many aspects of fitness, be challenged, and have fun all the at the same time! Ages 6-9 will use their body weight, while ages 10-14 will get introduced to weight training, to educate them how to establish and maintain a healthy fitness lifestyle! Don?t miss out on this awesome class!
Challenge Accepted
Our 1-mile fun run and 5K challenge (previously Dash & Splash) is growing! Bring the whole family out to celebrate National Family Health and Fitness Day! We start with our traditional 5K and 1-mile fun run followed by some additional challenges! Visit us online at hursttx.gov/recreation to sign up your family up for the fun! Two adults (over 15) and two children (under 14) are preferred for participation, but not required. Families who complete the entire Challenge will receive a t-shirt and Aquatics passes! Stars & Stripes
The Annual City of Hurst Stars & Stripes event is Monday, July 3, at Hurst Community Park. Come out to enjoy live music, food trucks, and a beautiful firework show! FREE shuttles are available from designated parking at Northeast Mall.

Catfish Stocking
July 4th Closings
The Hurst Tennis Center, Hurst Recreation Center, Recreation Center Administrative Office, and the Hurst Senior Activities Center are closed on July 4th.
Due to the holiday, Central Aquatics Center is closed, but Chisholm Aquatics Center is open on July 4th from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
