Children in North Carolina are 51% more likely to die from gun violence than in the rest of the country. This is an appalling statistic that should be met with action from lawmakers. But despite the widespread support for common-sense gun reform measures such as red flag laws, background checks, raising the ownership age, safe storage, and more, most Republican lawmakers are opposed to these measures. They care more about pandering to the gun lobby than protecting our children from gun violence. We need to know, do you support the gun reform measures that Republicans are refusing to pass? We’d like to hear your thoughts>>>
North Carolina Dem AG Josh Stein is leading the fight for gun reform in his state. He understands that the American people, across party lines, support these measures because they’ll keep us safe.
It's common sense that if someone under 21 can't buy a beer or cigarettes — they shouldn't be allowed to buy a gun. And in today’s world, safe storage is critical for ensuring guns don’t fall into the wrong hands at the wrong time.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
