Salazar and Escobar Introduce Bipartisan Dignity Act - Tuesday, a bipartisan group of representatives led by Reps. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) and Veronica Escobar (D-TX) introduced an updated version of the Dignity Act to fix our nation’s broken immigration system. The bill consists of four core principles: (1) stopping illegal immigration; (2) providing a dignified solution for undocumented immigrants who have been living in America for at least five years; (3) strengthening the American workforce and economy; and (4) ensuring the United States remain prosperous and competitive in the future. The Dignity Act is based on the biblical principles of dignity and redemption. It will restore law and order to our immigration system and support American workers.

Odessa Police Chief Testifies on Capitol Hill During National Police Week - Extreme budget cuts, rogue legal reforms, and media bias against law enforcement have resulted in significant recruitment and retention challenges for state and local law enforcement agencies nationwide. Our nation must restore a sense of appreciation for the men and women who wear the uniform, protect our communities, and are willing to sacrifice their own lives for the betterment of their communities.

Cornyn Op-Ed: A Year Later, Uvalde and the Answered Call for Change - The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act became law 32 days after the Uvalde shooting. It included targeted, commonsense measures to prevent violence and save lives without infringing on Second Amendment rights, and we’re already seeing its positive impact. At its core, this law is about mental health and school safety. It made the single largest investment in community-based mental health treatment in American history. So far, Texas has received more than $29.5 million to strengthen mental health care with much more to come. These investments were paired with major funding increases for school safety and security, including $94 million for school hardening in Texas’ K-12 schools.
