Earlier this month, Reuters reported on the thousands of illegal aliens that are streaming over the border each month from... China? The Biden-Harris administration's favored method of reducing illegal immigration is sending money to developing nations, such as those in Central America. China proves this can't work. After all, aren't we sending enough money to China already?

For every American man, woman, and child, there are twenty people who live in the developing world. Immigration can't solve global poverty... it likely would make it worse by stalling development.

That's why it's so discouraging to read Texas Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee's (D-CA) claim that her party will refuse to pass any border security bill without open borders and amnesty. Lee told Rodney Scott, the former Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, who was testifying before Congress:

"You're not going to get border security coming first... You need to be able to balance it. You will not accept a border security and recognizing pathways to legal entry [bill]?"

Rep. Lee does not speak for the entire Democratic party, but there are hardly throngs of Democrats in Congress falling over themselves to correct her.

This is where you and I come in...

We need Democrats -- and all in Congress -- to understand that their own electorate won't tolerate politicians tolerating lawlessness until their demands are met... especially when their demands are to further encourage lawlessness.

John, right now, Democrats like Barbara Lee are hoping that mere fake outrage can substitute for debate. Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) really claimed that we need cheap, imported labor because having to rely on American labor would be slavery all over again.

"Those folks coming across are the ones who are helping to put food on our table – without them, we're not able to eat. If all of them were turned away and this legislation passed making it easier to get at people who are already here legally, and you have no immigration, then we would have no food on our plates. We would have nobody taking care of the building, the construction of our homes. We wouldn't have anybody cleaning up in the hospitals, you know, honest work that deserves an honest day's pay."

In a way, Johnson sort of nails the status quo. Talking to Republicans, he said:

"I mean, if you could get back to slavery you would gladly do so. But if you could pay people $1 an hour, you'd settle for that. That's the race to the bottom that we have with immigrants lined up at the border and trying to get in and go to work."

But that's the effect of voting AGAINST H.R. 2: Illegal aliens lined up to take American jobs at obscenely low pay.

Frankly, there used to be plenty of Republicans who used to argue for open borders precisely because they did want cheap labor. In fact, there's a bunch right now in Texas who need to hear from us, so Texas will pass mandatory E-Verify bill coming up soon.

This is why H.R. 2 is such a victory for us: We finally got all but two House Republicans to vote for effective ways to reverse illegal immigration. But one party will never be enough. We need your support to continue to broaden the support in Washington for ending massive illegal immigration and for ending policies that reward those who have come illegally.
