** ASNV Annual Meeting Featuring Live Raptors is Sunday, June 4

Where: National Wildlife Federation Building, 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston, VA 20190

Audubon Society of Northern Virginia will hold its Annual Meeting at 3 PM on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the National Wildlife Federation building, 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston VA. We invite all members and friends to attend. Our program, “Raptor Rehab,” features Liz Dennison from Secret Garden Birds and Bees, who will have several live raptors with her for you to view and photograph. She will explain what rehabbers do to help injured or sick birds recover, discussing some of the more interesting cases she has seen. She will talk about the physical and emotional toll of being a rehabber and also give practical information about what you can do if you find an injured raptor.
The agenda for the business meeting follows:
* Results of the Birdathon competition - the donation page ([link removed]) is open until June 2!
* A brief explanation of ASNV's new Stretch Our Parks ([link removed]) initiative.
* A brief explanation of ASNV's budget for fiscal year 2024.
* Recognition of Officers and Board Members whose terms are expiring.
* Election of Officers and Directors of ASNV. The slate of candidates recommended by the ASNV Nominating Committee is here ([link removed]) .
* Invitation to join ASNV's committees.
We will gather informally at 2:30 PM to socialize before the meeting. If you like, please bring refreshments or beverages to share with everyone.
