John, June is going to be a big month in the fight to protect abortion access.
Just last week, anti-choice Republicans in North Carolina's state legislature voted to override Gov. Roy Coopers' veto of a dangerous abortion ban, and South Carolina is poised to follow suit with an even tougher ban. If Republicans in South Carolina are successful, Virginia will become the last southern state with access to abortion.
Virginia's state primary on June 20 will be a major flashpoint in the fight for access — which is why we've endorsed 22 Democratic pro-choice women on the ballot that day who need our support to win.

In Virginia's state Senate, Democrats are protecting a two-seat majority but defending nearly twice the number of seats as their Republican counterparts. (A similar story to the U.S. Senate!) On top of that, Democrats need to gain three seats in the House of Delegates to successfully flip that chamber.
Let's be crystal clear, John: Control of the Virginia state legislature is the key to ensuring abortion access for millions of Americans, across several states. We need Democratic pro-choice women on the floor of the Virginia state legislature to fight back against dangerous anti-choice legislation, now more than ever.
