As a member of the House of Representatives, my seat is on the ballot every two years – which means I’m almost constantly running for re-election. As someone who doesn't take corporate PAC money, the contributions from folks like you are key to my successful campaigns.

It has consistently been shown that early money is the best way to win a campaign – partly because it encourages others to also give, but mostly because potential opponents are scared off by incumbents who have plenty of cash on hand. Those funds are used to build a strong foundation for a re-election campaign by investing in resources like staff, advertising, and voter mobilization.
