It’s been a year since Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and I introduced the Green New Deal, and we’ve come a long way in that short amount of time.

With the Green New Deal, we brought forward a 10-year mobilization to achieve a clean energy economy while focusing on justice for frontline and vulnerable communities.

The Green New Deal will create the clean energy revolution that the people are demanding.

The conversation around the climate crisis has been completely reshaped. Polling shows that it is quite popular among the American people — despite Republican attacks and lies. Candidates across the country are running on our ideas, and they are winning at every level.

The very future of our planet is at stake. We cannot wait any longer to address it. We’ve come a long way in the past year, but there is more to do.

I intend to keep leading our fight to end the climate crisis in the halls of Congress, but I need you with me to win this race first.
