Here we go, Friend-- The fight for democracy in Ohio
is on!
The Ohio Ballot Board has approved the language for State Issue
1, which will make it harder for citizens to pass ballot
initiatives.
We are witnessing a situation where elected leadership
is failing to align with the will of the voters. We have the
power to make our voices heard by voting NO on August 8!
We might not be able to count on our legislators,
but we know that we can count on Ohio voters.
Here are the top 3 ways to get
involved
1. Be a volunteer leader to assist with yard sign
distribution. Yard signs will be coming and
we will let you know when and where to go get one. Print out a sign now for your window or
car.
2. Write a letter to the editor of your local
paper in opposition to Issue 1.
3. Check your voter registration.
Check where to go for in person, early
voting.
You're invited: "AEP and House Bill
6: Dark Money, Corruption, and Power" Tuesday, May 30 at
6pm
Join us on Tuesday, May 30th at 6 p.m.for a virtual forum focusing on the role of dark
money, the corruption it breeds, and how American Electric Power (AEP)
is still benefiting from the House Bill 6 bribery
scandal.
We will hear from Energy and Policy Institute’s Dave Anderson
and Kathiann Kowalski, reporter for Energy News Network, who have both
closely followed AEP’s involvement. The event will be moderated by
Morgan Trau, award-winning Ohio Statehouse reporter for News 5
Cleveland.
Please chip in so that we can protect our freedom to make
decisions through ballot initiatives.
Let's get ready to Vote NO in
August!
