Just a couple of days ago, Marjorie Taylor Greene decided to bid $100,000 on Kevin McCarthy’s used chapstick to raise money for the National Republican Congressional Committee while our government approaches default. How tasteful!

Instead of focusing on debt ceiling negotiations and protecting the government from default, House Republicans made a mockery of the disaster that looms for working class families as they demand cuts to social programs and education in exchange for raising the debt ceiling.

But that’s not all, Republicans have now all left Washington to go on vacation while they hold the economy hostage. It’s outrageous.

These political stunts are completely tone-deaf to situations American families are facing at the moment — whether that be inflation or threats of economic collapse.

So while Republicans continue to use distasteful and grandiose antics to raise money for their party, we won't. Because this is a grassroots people-powered campaign, funded by the people, for the people.

So please, if you can afford it, make a contribution to our campaign today. We don't accept money from corporations, so every dollar will help me continue to fight for you in Congress. [[link removed]]

Thank you,
