We will not be silent about the deception and deflection in Florida

Dear John,

Right now, 47% of Floridians are poor and low-income. Since 1979, income for the top 1 percent of Floridians has nearly doubled. But for everyone else, real income has actually fallen over the same four decades.

All the while, Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida state legislators are using deception and deflection instead of addressing the needs of those who are hurting  in the state, especially those who are poor and low-wealth.

We must not be silent! And call DeSantis’ bluff. Join the Florida Poor People’s Campaign to demand truth and justice this Thursday, May 25th at 6:30 pm in Orlando, FL as impacted leaders share their testimonies alongside faith leaders and advocates.

Florida Mass Meeting Information

The deadly policies being passed in Florida are not constrained to a state border; what happens in one state affects us across the nation. We urge those who cannot attend in-person to watch the livestream.

What is happening in Florida is already happening across the country. We must stand together, we must mobilize to stop these public policy death measures, and we must declare that we will not be silent anymore!

In Solidarity,
