Folks, remember the last time Republicans were in control of the Senate?
That’s right, from 2016-2020.
Donald Trump was President, and with his Republican Senate Majority they did a lot of damage. Together, they:
- Passed tax cuts for corporations and billionaires
- Rolled back nearly 100 environmental rules
- Rewrote rules regarding student loan forgiveness, curbing relief for defrauded students
- Shrunk the food safety net
- Packed the Courts with MAGA extremists
The list goes on and on.
And in addition to laws passed or those rolled back, Trump and the Republican Senate Majority made sexist, xenophobic, racist rhetoric their norm, which has lasting implications in today’s GOP.
We won’t roll back the clock.
Our Democratic Senate majority has accomplished too much for it to all be undone by a Republican Senate Majority in 2024. Will you chip in $25 or more today to make sure we hold our majority and continue moving forward? If we don’t want to go back, we can’t back down.
