Friend,
Far-right leaders have been working hard to destroy reproductive rights across the country — like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who signed a 6-week abortion ban into law in the middle of the night last month.
Governor DeSantis just announced his plans to run for President. We know that his attacks on our basic freedoms won’t be limited to his home state.
Restoring and protecting reproductive rights nationwide is one of Michael’s top priorities in the Senate. That means passing key pieces of legislation now, and ensuring pro-choice candidates have the resources they need to win this election cycle.
You can read more from Michael about his work in the Senate below, and then chip in here to help him elect candidates who will stand up for our reproductive rights >>
This is one of the most pressing issues we face today.
Thanks for helping Michael make a difference,
— Team Bennet

Subject: another calculated attack on reproductive rights
Team,
In the middle of the night last month, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a 6-week abortion ban, affecting as many as 4 million Florida women.
Since then, Republican majorities have passed bans in Nebraska, North Carolina, and North Dakota. In total, abortions are banned in twenty different states.
These policies are not based on any sort of science or research. They are, however, another calculated attack on reproductive rights.
Leaders pushing their far-right, radical agenda have been working to dismantle reproductive rights for decades. They’ve had some big victories in the last year, with the Supreme Court handing them their biggest with the Dobbs decision.
That's why restoring and protecting reproductive rights nationwide is one of my top priorities in the Senate.
Here are four bills I’m fighting for right now:
- The Women’s Health and Protection Act (WHPA) would finally codify abortion rights into federal law, guarantee equal access to abortion across the nation, and protect against any future challenges of our reproductive rights;
- The Let Doctors Provide Reproductive Health Care Act would protect doctors and providers in states where abortion remains legal from prosecution for providing abortions;
- The SAFER Health Act would strengthen privacy protections to prohibit providers from disclosing information related to abortion or pregnancy loss;
- The Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance (EACH) Act would guarantee abortion coverage for those who rely on Medicaid and other federal health plans.
While Colorado is a safe haven for women seeking reproductive care, women across the country are already facing the consequences of a post-Roe world. And, now, my Republican colleagues have made it clear that they want a federal law to ban abortion nationwide — including right here in Colorado.
Will you add your name today and join me in calling on Congress to pass these bills into law? Join this coalition of people fighting for reproductive rights all across the country, and here in Colorado.
With your help, we can meet our critical end-of-month deadline and work to restore reproductive rights for women nationwide.
The fight we're in right now was manufactured on the far-right over many decades. The road ahead of us is long, but it's one of the most important battles we're waging right now.
Thank you for being a part of this, friend,
Michael
