Arizona Republican lawmakers recently established a committee to review our state’s response to COVID-19. And who is part of this committee? Representatives Paul Gosar, Andy Biggs, and Eli Crane. Yes, the same people who promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin to prevent and treat COVID-19 will now be sitting on the “Novel Coronavirus Southwestern Intergovernmental Committee.”

The Arizona Democratic Party and the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee want to send a message to Reps. Gosar, Biggs, and Crane: you’re the LAST people we want reviewing Arizona’s COVID-19 response. Will you help get our message across by making a donation of any size today?

The committee, which will supposedly evaluate "protocols and overall public health guidance," is an unbelievable waste of resources. This committee should consist of actual doctors, scientists, and public health experts. Instead, it’s a group of misinformation-peddling opportunists looking to pander.

Arizona Republicans are a national embarrassment, and they’re wasting our time and our taxpayer dollars. Considering that Arizona had the highest cumulative standardized COVID-19 death rate in the U.S., it’s a slap in the face to suggest our state government somehow went too far with coronavirus precautions.
