I will always be completely honest with my team:

Based on the information that has come out of the impeachment trial, I believe an abuse of power occurred -- and I would have voted to remove President Trump.

Like most Mainers, I believe we needed to hear from relevant witnesses and consider all the evidence as part of this process. I also believe that, if President Trump and Mitch McConnell were really convinced of his innocence, they would have allowed witnesses to testify.

This was not the process that Americans deserved -- and Senator Collins was complicit in letting it happen. She voted twelve times to block witness testimony and critical evidence, and without hearing from a single witness, she still voted to acquit President Trump.

And it gets worse: Collins tried to justify her vote by saying Trump had learned a "pretty big lesson" from the impeachment trial. I don't buy it. I know you don't either. Donald Trump himself responded hours later saying he hadn't learned a thing.

Despite her attempts to find political cover and appear like she's standing up to Donald Trump, this process has been yet another example of just how much Senator Collins has changed.

When it really counts, Senator Collins will stand with Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump -- not the people she represents.

Mainers and Americans deserve better. That's why I'm running against Susan Collins for U.S. Senate and why I'm asking you now:
