Hi John,

Happy Black History Month! One thing I love about our community is that we're not afraid to use our voices and fight for what we believe in no matter what.

African Americans have been in this country for over 400 years. We've helped build this nation. Today we continue the fight for equality and justice in every facet of our lives from the TV screen to the ballot box. This is OUR country, and as we head into the most critical elections of our lifetime this fall, I can't think of a more powerful way to use our collective voices than to vote on November 3, 2020.

Here's the thing: Your vote is your power, your vote is your voice, and you deserve to be heard.

And let's get real. There are plenty of people out there who don't want us to vote. Right now, there's actually people who are working to make it harder for us to vote. But shutting down polling places and other forms of voter suppression haven't stopped us before and they're not going to stop us now.

So join us! The elections in November will seriously be here before we know it. It's time to get involved now, to step up and be a leader in your community. We'll get you trained and ready to start helping everyone you know register and get out to vote.

I'M READY TO LEAD: www.whenweallvote.org/votingsquad/

It doesn't matter if you've never done anything like this before. I have certainly never been on a Voting Squad! When Michelle Obama asked me to be a co-chair for When We All Vote and join her Squad, I couldn't say no because I didn't want to sit on the sidelines. Not this year and not ever.

You are the best person to have the conversation about registering and voting with family and friends. When We All Vote will train you and give you the resources you need, so don't you dare let that voice inside your head stop you! Sign up to volunteer with When We All Vote now >>

Let's do this thing, John.
