Aerospace supply disruptions could delay aircraft deliveries and affect existing fleets in need of spare parts for at least the next five years, Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun said at the Qatar Economic Forum this week. Calhoun predicted that it will take about 18 months for the industry to stabilize before it can increase output.

Arrow Electronics has named Daniel Campbell as president of its North America Enterprise Computing Solutions IT distribution business, replacing Mark Taylor, who is stepping down June 2. "Dan is a seasoned executive, leading all aspects of sales in cloud, software, alliances and customer success initiatives," said Kristin Russell, Arrow's president of global enterprise computing solutions.

The Financial Accounting Standards Board approved a measure last year that requires US firms to report details of supply-chain financing programs, such as terms and size. Firms have been reporting information on their programs for the first time in first-quarter earnings, providing investors with a better idea of the widespread use of the financing tool, which is expected to grow as high interest rates make other financing more expensive and macroeconomic challenges make cash flow essential.

The economic headwinds and overstocks that are slowing global trade continued to drive down volumes throughout the US in April, according to port officials. The Port of Los Angeles saw a 22.5% year-over-year decline in April volume, Port Houston slowed by 8%, the Port of Savannah, Ga., was down 17.5% and The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey witnessed a 33.4% drop compared to last year.
