From Bernie Sanders 2020 <[email protected]>
Subject I am writing to ask you to make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign. Moments ago we found out the Walton family made a $200,000 contribution to a super PAC, and we are sure it wasn’t to support Bernie. We need your help to fight back.

Walmart workers have made more donations to our campaign than almost ANY other employer in the country.

These workers have made more than 5,063 contributions — with an average donation of just $12.

They're people giving what they can afford to fight for a better country.

But today we found out that the Walton family just dropped $200,000 in a super PAC to influence the Democratic primary — one we are sure is “very concerned” about Bernie’s vision for America.

It would take 16,515 donations from Walmart workers to match that. And I am sure the Walton family is just getting started.

So today, we have to fight back — fight back for those Walmart workers whose voices are being silenced:

Can you make a contribution to our campaign today as a way of saying you have had ENOUGH of the Walton family’s greed and big-spending trying to buy our candidates and elections?

This, in a nutshell, represents so much of what is wrong with our dysfunctional campaign finance system. It’s up to us to fight back - for Walmart workers, and for each other.

In solidarity,
