I know one thing for sure: Justice and history weigh on our shoulders.

Our Republican colleagues -- particularly Leader McConnell -- may be totally partisan. By not allowing witnesses, they ran a sham trial and it shows they're afraid of the truth.

House managers made a compelling case. But even if you think that case wasn't compelling, the idea that that means you shouldn't have witnesses and documents when we're doing something as consequential, as important as an impeachment trial fails the laugh test.

The vote wasn't a vote to acquit Donald Trump -- it was to end a moment of embarrassment for Republicans. They hope this vote will end all of it, and we'll all forget what we know. What was proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt: That President Trump should be removed from office, and that Senate Republicans chose party over country.

We won't forget. We will take back the Senate, starting with Sara Gideon in Maine, Amy McGrath in Kentucky, Cal Cunningham in North Carolina, Ben Ray Luján in New Mexico, MJ Hegar in Texas, Jaime Harrison in South Carolina, John Hickenlooper in Colorado, Rev. Raphael Warnock in Georgia, Dr. Barbara Bollier in Kansas, and Theresa Greenfield in Iowa.
