Nearly half of Americans report feeling alone or left out sometimes or always and a lack of meaningful social interactions on a daily basis. One in five reports rarely or never feeling close to other people. Loneliness, consequently, undermines health.
Yesterday, we released the 12th annual ParkScore® index, which shows that cities with the highest rankings are healthier places to live. We measured the 100 most populous cities in five categories: access, investment, amenities, acreage, and equity.
