Americans have accepted climate change as our dangerous reality and are making decisions around it.

But what’s worrying is that many of their leaders—namely Republicans in Congress—refuse to acknowledge the problem, let alone take action to solve it.

And now that we’re on track to meet the potentially catastrophic 1.5 degrees celsius benchmark in the next 5 years, we don’t have time to wait on them.

Americans should not be left to deal with the repercussions of climate change alone. I am calling for Congress to enact swift, effective climate action. Will you sign on in the next 48 hours to make your voice heard?

If we don’t ramp up our efforts to cut carbon emissions over the next few years, our ability to curb climate change will be significantly dwindled. Climate change affects everything from the likelihood of pandemics and our lung health to floods and fires.
