Friend, we have just a few days until MAGA Republicans force us to default, throwing our country’s economy off a cliff.

We need to do everything we can to stop that from happening. Click here and tell your lawmakers to be responsible. America must meet its obligations, pay its bills and prevent a national default by raising the debt ceiling NOW.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and extremist Republicans are creating the default crisis we face so they can make deep cuts to popular programs like Social Security and Medicare, which would cut healthcare and retirement security from seniors, veterans and working families.

That’s before you even get to how kids would suffer from the Republicans’ cuts; nutrition programs, supports for kids with special needs and other vital programs are all on the chopping block. And this political gamesmanship would also drive up interest rates and make costs skyrocket for car payments, mortgages, credit cards, student loans and more.

This isn’t just politics. This is peoples’ lives. Failure to pay the bills would cause tremendous economic harm to the American people. This is a crisis forced by the extreme wing of the GOP, and it’s time to stop playing games.

Tell Congress to pay the bills and raise the debt ceiling to prevent an economic disaster.
