Couy Griffin, the founder of Cowboys For Trump and self-described proponent of “law and order,” was arrested yet again for trespassing and harassment. The first time, Griffin was arrested and convicted for his role in the January 6th insurrection, during which he entered and remained in a restricted area and for which he served time. Now, he has been arrested and charged with 3 counts of criminal trespassing and 2 counts of harassment after ignoring standard eviction protocol and being told repeatedly by authorities not to enter the property. Not only is Couy a criminal insurrectionist, he also seems to be a scummy landlord, too.

Like so many MAGA GOP prominent figures,Griffin thinks himself to somehow be above the law. These are the types of folks that the NM GOP promotes and who align themselves with people who run for office in New Mexico, like former GOP candidate for NM Secretary of State Audrey Trujillo, who referred to Griffin as “one of our best” and former NM GOP Congresswoman Yvette Herrell, who called Couy “one of [her] proudest endorsements.” The stakes are too high and we can’t let up on our efforts to keep radicals like Couy out of office.
