I have two amazing kids, and I’ve devoted my career to working with children. For three decades, I worked to make sure kids in the Las Vegas area had their basic needs met, and that they could count on a quality education and a caring, supportive community to help them succeed.

I founded an organization to provide after-school programs for at-risk children to keep them on track for a bright future, and I led an organization working to make sure kids finished school.

In Congress, I’m on the front lines of the fight to provide parents with the support and security they need to raise happy, healthy kids.

I do all of that because I believe that kids are our greatest treasure. Raising children is, without a doubt, one of the most difficult jobs of all, and it’s often the most rewarding.

But I believe that forcing anyone into that job is an unacceptable violation of the rights and freedoms we hold dear.

So, before I continue, I want you to know the harsh truth that the anti-choice right is gearing up to fully abolish abortion rights in America. Can I count on your support to help defend the right to choose in Nevada and across the nation? [[link removed]]

I will never stop fighting to make sure that the deeply personal decision to have children remains in the hands of women and out of the hands of the ruthless, anti-choice crusaders — who, I might add — vote to strip away support for children and working families at every possible opportunity.

The anti-choice GOP House majority has an ultimate goal to enact a nationwide abortion ban, and they’re closer than they’ve ever been. We can’t let them succeed.
