John,

We have a critical update out of Virginia:

The anti-gerrymandering amendment is stalled in the House where it could die. And if politicians don’t pass it by February 20th, we’ll have to wait 10 years to stop gerrymandering in Virginia.

We can't let them get away with rigging our elections for another 10 years. Add your name now to urge lawmakers to pass the anti-gerrymandering amendment.

Gerrymandering rigs elections by allowing politicians to draw their own voting districts. It takes power away from voters and puts it into the hands of self-serving politicians.

We have just 13 days to pass the anti-gerrymandering amendment in the Virginia State House. Will you add your name to urge VA delegates to pass the amendment?

Your signatures make an impact. RepresentUs members from across the country worked together just a few weeks ago to send more than 3,400 signatures to the VA State Senate, and shortly after, the anti-gerrymandering amendment passed through committee with bipartisan support.

Now, we need to do it again. Politicians think they can keep rigging elections and nobody will notice it. If they see that people all over the country are watching and expect them to end gerrymandering, they'll feel pressure to do the right thing. Add your name now to show them you're watching.

If the amendment passes, it will go to the ballot where voters will make the final decision about whether to outlaw gerrymandering under the state Constitution.

The anti-corruption movement is powerful because we work together to unrig the system, no matter where the fight is. Every state matters, and if we win in Virginia, we will build momentum to stop gerrymandering in more states across America.
