Fellow Conservative,

I’m sure we don’t have to tell you, but President Trump was acquitted this week. This was a historic vote, and as such, we included it as a key vote on our scorecard. <[link removed]> If you don’t know how your senators voted, click here <[link removed]> to find out.

The impeachment sham has rightly failed — Congress should now return to the business of the people. <[link removed]>
State of the Union (in Tweets)
President Trump is focused on the business of the people, as outlined in his State of the Union Address. It’s worth watching the entire 90 minutes <[link removed]>, but if you don’t have the time, you can catch the highlights on our Twitter feed <[link removed]> (just scroll down). Here’s a sample:
Happening on the Hill
Disaster Relief Package — On Friday, the House passed H.R. 5687 <[link removed]> (237 to161), to provide an additional $5 billion in disaster relief for Puerto Rico. Conservatives were right to reject this spending package as Congress continues to use disaster and emergency funding to evade spending caps. <[link removed]>

PRO Act (H.R.2474) <[link removed]> — This bill was a liberal wishlist for unions (not workers) and it passed the House by 224 to 194. The problems with this bill are too many to list, so we’ll direct you to the DailySignal <[link removed]> which did a great job highlighting the flaws in this legislation. The good news is that this bill is “dead on arrival” in the Republican-controlled Senate.

>>> One last thing…don’t miss Tim Chapman’s latest op-ed about the Iowa caucus. <[link removed]>

It was an amazingly busy and eventful week. As always, thank you for your support!
