[1]NNU - Medicare for All!

Last week, Senator Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, and
Congresswoman Debbie Dingell reintroduced Medicare for All in the House
and Senate, and we've been blown away by the support.

Check it out:

* 112 House Members signed on as original cosponsors before the bill was
introduced, the highest number ever on the date of introduction. And
now, we're already up to 113 members!
* The House cosponsors include 13 powerful committee ranking members,
such as Rules Committee Ranking Member Rep. Jim McGovern, Energy &
Commerce Committee Ranking Member Rep. Frank Pallone, and Education
and Workforce Committee Ranking Member Rep. Bobby Scott.
* The House cosponsors also notably include a total 19 House freshmen,
signaling the growing support for Medicare for All among younger and
newer members.
* 14 Senate members signed on as original cosponsors including freshman
Senator Peter Welch (D-VT).
* And more than 200 national, state, and local organizations endorsed
the Medicare for All Act of 2023 including National Nurses United.

That's not all! More than 42,000 grassroots supporters like you have
signed our petition calling on Congress to pass Medicare for All.

Our momentum is strong, and it’s a testament to the organizing and power
we’ve built together as a movement over the last few years. But in order

The United States is functionally the only industrialized country in the
world where getting sick can make you go bankrupt. We deserve so much
better than our broken, expensive health care system. Medicare for All is
the way forward.

Not only will Medicare for All guarantee health care to everyone, it'll
also be hundreds of billions of dollars cheaper than the broken,
for-profit system we have now. It is cost-effective and humane, and it's
time that we make it a reality.

name to our petition to join a mass movement of people across the country
calling on Congress to guarantee health care as a human right.

In solidarity,
