Kevin McCarthy and Congressional Republicans say their debt limit hostage taking is about "fiscal responsibility."

But guess what? New estimates from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) expose their plan to extend the Trump tax cuts without any way to pay for them. This move would pile an extra $3.5 trillion onto our national debt over the next ten years. And it's no surprise the top 0.1% of households — those raking in over $4.5 million — are the only ones who will benefit from this plan. They'd enjoy an average tax cut of $175,000 per year!

These tax cuts would wipe out any savings we might have had from proposed cuts to education, law enforcement, public safety, research, and other crucial areas. This clearly shows that these proposals have nothing to do with reducing the deficit and everything to do with an extreme MAGA Republican agenda. Enough is enough!
