New Threat: Take Action to Protect Immigrant Families
Dear John,
PIF is coordinating three sign-on letters over the next few weeks, offering partners and allies opportunities to raise their voices on critical issues affecting immigrant families. While it is unusual for us to be coordinating multiple sign-on letters, we face a unique range of threats and opportunities right now. Many of you have already signed on to our LTBA letter (check here [[link removed]] to see if your organization has signed on, click here to sign on today), and we appreciate your leadership. Our current sign-on letters focus on:

Webinar: Breaking Down Health Care Access Barriers
Everyone deserves the tools they need to be healthy and well — regardless of their immigration status. Yet many immigrants face barriers to health care they need and are eligible to receive.
Community Catalyst and the Protecting Immigrant Families Coalition (PIF) invite you to join us and our partners on Thursday, May 25th at 3pm ET for a conversation about breaking down barriers that make it difficult for immigrant communities to enroll in health coverage. This call will bring together immigrant rights and health equity advocates working to enroll eligible Latine communities, who are well poised to break down barriers and offer much-needed partnership to immigrant communities.

Call In Day: Care Can't Wait
Join the Coalition on Human Needs on Thursday, May 25th for a day of action focused on pushing Members of Congress to reject any budget deal that cuts critical programs without raising any taxes on the rich and corporations. Can you take two minutes to call your Member of Congress? View call-in scripts and social media examples below.

Thank You: 700+ Organizations Tell Congress to Avoid Harmful Budget Cuts
PIF partners joined a recent Coalition of Human Needs sign-on letter asking Congress to “reject efforts to take away assistance from people with low incomes or impose administrative barriers that make it harder for people to access needed assistance.” Given recent proposals to cut spending on vital economic supports, the letter calls on Congress to reject these efforts and instead focus on supporting and uplifting those who need it most. We thank partners who joined this effort to protect the safety net.
