John, if there’s one thing to know about me – I’m not afraid to get a little dirt on my boots.
I grew up working on my family’s 230-year-old farm in Cookeville, TN. Trust me, y’all, that job was far from glamorous. It was long hours tending to our farm.
But for me, or me, it was home. It is home. That very farm taught me what I know and who I am today.

From a young age, I worked my tail off and learned the values of hard work, responsibility, and accountability. I learned patience through faith and resilience through failure.
I brought my roots to the halls of Congress. Since being elected, I have been determined to bring these values to Washington, D.C. Someone has to stand up to these Leftists and restore real American values in our nation.
